Dr. Arunkumar S. Thankappan Pillai, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Dr. Arunkumar Thankappan Pillai, Ph.D., C.Psych. is a licensed psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, specializing in Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation Psychology. He provides a range of services designed to meet the psychological needs of adults and couples. He is an active member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), in addition to being a member of the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment. Dr. Thankappan Pillai possesses a Certification in Medicolegal Expertise (CMLE) and has achieved Diplomate Status from the Canadian Academy of Pain Management (CAPM). Dr. Thankappan Pillai has an extensive academic background, having completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology at the University of Kerala. In addition, he holds two M. Phil degrees: one in Medical and Social Psychology from Ranchi University and another in Futures Studies from the University of Kerala. His clinical psychology training was undertaken at the Central Institute of Psychiatry in India. His areas of expertise include psychological assessments, therapeutic practices, and clinical management, particularly within multicultural contexts. At present, Dr. Thankappan Pillai is focused on providing assessments and treatments for individuals suffering from the sequelae of accident-related trauma. Dr. Thankappan Pillai provides services in Malayalam, English, Hindi and Tamil. 

Stennis Joseph, M.Phil., C.Psych.Assoc.

Stennis Joseph, M.Phil., C.Psych.Assoc. is a registered member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario in the area of Clinical Psychology. She completed her M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from Osmania University, India. She practiced as a licensed Clinical Psychologist in India for many years. Since 2018, she has been working with Psychological Recovery Clinic. She provides psychological treatment and assessment services to adult clients affected by the sequelae of motor vehicle and workplace accident-related trauma. Ms. Joseph offers services in English, Tamil and Malayalam languages. 

Divya Nambiar, M.Phil., C.Psych.Assoc.

Divya Nambiar, M.Phil., C.Psych.Assoc. is a registered member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, and authorized to practice in the area of Clinical Psychology. In addition, she is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Ms. Nambiar obtained her M.Phil. in Clinical psychology from the University of Calcutta, India, after completing her M.Sc. in Applied Psychology with clinical specialization from Pondicherry University, India. She has several years of experience in psychological assessment and interventions with multi-cultural clientele. Her work includes psychological assessments and treatment for patients suffering from the sequelae of accident-related traumas. She provides psychological support and various behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapies. She also uses an eclectic approach to incorporate empirically supported methods to tailor treatment to meet her clients’ needs. Ms. Nambiar provides services in languages of English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali.

Bahareh Mohebbi, M.Psy., RP

Bahareh Mohebbi, M.Psy., RP is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. She has over nine years of experience providing both assessment and therapy under supervision. Ms. Mohebbi also has completed a training in PGAP (the Progressive Goal Attainment Program), an evidence-based treatment program for reducing disability associated with pain, depression, PTSD, acquired brain injury, cancer, and other chronic health conditions. Additionally, she has completed the Intensive Sex Therapy Training Program at the University of Guelph. Through her extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and experience, Ms. Mohebbi assists clients at many critical junctures and decision points in their lives. She takes a humanistic client-centered approach, choosing the evidence-based therapeutic modalities that best meet the unique needs of every client. Ms. Mohebbi is fluent in both English and Farsi. 

Sanghamitra Gautam, M.Phil., C.Psych. Associate (Supervised Practice)

Sanghamitra Gautam, M.Phil., RP completed her M. Phil degree in Clinical Psychology from Manipal University, India, where she also practiced as a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She is a Registered Psychotherapist and a good standing member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has 7 years of rigorous academic exposure in psychology. She has over 10 years of work experience with clinical and non-clinical populations, including children, students and corporate employees. She has experience working with clients of trauma and abuse. In addition, she works extensively with clients suffering from various substance abuse disorders and serious mental disorders. She provides psychological support and various behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapies. She has very good interpersonal and communication skills and is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese and Bengali.


Samira Forghani, M.Psy.

Samira Forghani, M.Psy., RP holds the title of Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. Specializing in psychotherapy and psychological assessments (under supervision), she is committed to guiding her clients through their personal paths. Emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship, she offers a holistic and personalized approach to each client. Fluent in English, Farsi, and Italian, Ms. Forghani is dedicated to supporting individuals in their healing journey.
